Gordon Paul Antill Sr., 81, a native of Humphreys, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, April 5.
He is survived by his wife, May Belle Portier Antill of Bayou Blue, La.; son, Gordon Antill Jr. and wife Carol of Gibson, La.; daughter, Peggy Arceneaux of Gibson; grandchildren, Lesley Hornigold and husband Mike, Justin Doiron, Clinton Doiron and Margeaux Doiron; and great-grandchildren, Christianna Hornigold, Porter Hornigold and Bailey Doiron.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearly Paul Antill and Inez LeBoeuf Antill; and brother, Percy Antill.
He was the personnel manager for United Fruit Company and a Merchant Marine.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bayouland YMCA, 103 Valhi Boulevard, Houma, La.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday, April 9, at Chauvin Funeral Home. A religious service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with burial at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
