Feinberg promises improvement for claimants

Gwen Carpenter Goins, 49, a native of Louisiana and a resident of Houma, La., Baton Rouge, La., and New Orleans, La., died Monday, Jan. 10, 2011 from a prolonged illness.
She is survived by her parents, CSM Allen G. Carpenter (U.S. Army Ret.) and Elizabeth “Betty” Stegall Carpenter; sons, Christopher Goins and Michael Egana; daughter, Kristan Plaisance; brothers, Allen Jr. “Glen” and Gregory Carpenter; and numerous relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her companion, Emile Egana; her paternal grandparents, Alyne and Peter Saba; and her maternal grandparents, Henry Sr. and Mildred Ziegler Stegall.
Her cremated remains will be interred at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Joseph Hospice of Baton Rouge or The Lighthouse for the Blind in New Orleans.
