February 2, 2010Harley “Mitch” Authement, 60, a native of Chauvin, La., and resident of Spencer, La., died at his residence on Friday, Jan. 22, 2010.
A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Authement served during the Vietnam War. The last six years, he worked at International Automotive Components in Greencastle. He was a member of the American Legion in Cloverdale, UAW Local 2382 in Greencastle. He attended the Church of God of Prophecy, and enjoyed sports, especially football, NASCAR and bowling.
He is survived by his wife, Annita Myers Authement; sons, Andrew and Jonathon Authement; brother, Bennett Authement; sisters, Faye Matherne and Paula Authement.
He is buried at Riverside Cemetery.
