Harold Chatagnier, 86, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010.

Mr. Chatagnier was a retired barber and owned Hebert’s Barber Shop. He was a veteran of World War II and a parishioner of St. Francis De Sales Cathedral Church.


He is survived by his daughters, Paula Deroche and Bonnie Theriot; three grandchildren, Rachell (Bo) Gautreaux, Brittany (Dustin) Pijor and Jared Theriot; three great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Schexnayder; stepdaughters, Paulette Debose and Judy Benoit; nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Oddie Hebert.


He was preceded in death by his wife, LaVerne Chatagnier; two brothers, Gerald and Francis Chatagnier; and parents, William and Olive Chatagnier.

He is buried at St. Francis Cemetery No.2.
