Harold Joseph Darcey, 82, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, June 19.
He is survived by his sons, Terry Joseph Darcey, Raleigh Joseph Darcey and Timmy Joseph Darsey; daughter, Rachel Virgin Darcey Neal; sister, Rosedale Gautreaux; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emily Hebert Darsey; brother, Floyd Darcey; and sister, Sophie Cheramie.
He was the founder of Darcey’s Furniture Repair, a member of the Lions Club and American Legion. He was Catholic and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
He was a great husband and father who loved his grandchildren and the loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be sadly missed.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, June 22, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday, June 23, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
