Harry “PeeWee” Giroir, a resident of Berwick born in Bayou L’Ourse March 2, 1921, passed away in Morgan City October 20, 2006 at the age of 85.

PeeWee is survived by two sons, Lawrence A. and his wife Theresa Giroir of Bayou L’Ourse, and Cary L. and his wife Cheryl of Morgan City; two daughters, Glynda and her husband Barry Lasseigne of Bayou Vista, and Harriet and her husband Pete LeBlanc of Belle River; one brother, Martin Thomas Giroir Sr. of Pierre Part; two step brothers, Larry Foret of Morgan City and Lovlin Leonard of Belle River; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.


PeeWee was preceded in death by five brothers: John Giroir, Joseph Giroir, Charles Giroir, Anthony Giroir and Florentine A. Giroir Jr., and three sisters: Annie Giroir Perez, Florence Giroir Lacoste and Laura Giroir Gros.

Visitation will be observed Tuesday, October 24,2006 beginning at 10:00 a.m. until 2:00p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Hargrave Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00p.m. PeeWee will be laid to rest in the St. Andrew’s Cemetery.

Hargrave Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
