Helen Cecile Boudreaux Whipple, 86, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 5:40 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012.


Mrs. Whipple was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church and a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.


She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Whipple and Patty (John) Carr; sisters, Mildred Domangue and Yvette Cavallo; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Whipple; daughter, Mary Whipple; parents, Jules and Felida Boudreaux; brothers, J.B., Lee, Tony and Gilbert Boudreaux; and sisters, Eunice Robicheaux, Yvonne Dagenhardt and Eula Williams

Burial was at St. Ann Cemetery in Bourg, La. (Chauvin)
