Lenten Gumbo served for 20 years, still going strong
March 19, 2010Helen Tauzy Chatelain, 80, a native of Dickenson, Texas, and resident of Houma, La., died of natural causes at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010.
Mrs. Chatelain was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
She is survived by her daughters, Ruth (Roger) Hebert and Susan (Dean) Plessala; brother, John Tauzy; sisters, Betty Haynes and Sylvia Schwarz; sister-in-law, Rena Tauzy; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, C.J. Chatelain and Roland Wells; parents, Sylvia and Albert Tauzy; son, Keith Chatelain; and brother, Sylvain Tauzy.
