Helen Lewis Worley, 75, a native of Labadieville, La., and a resident of Dorseyville, La., died at Assumption Community Hospital Thursday, October 23.


She is survived by her husband, Wilfred Worley; two sisters, Beatrice Hill of Thibodaux, La., and Audrey Warner of El Paso, Tx.; one brother, Howard Lewis of Houma, La.; and one uncle, Harry Lewis of Picayune, Ms.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland and Elvelina M. Lewis; two sisters, Margaret Tillman and Josephine Lewis; one infant daughter; her father and mother-in-law, Paul and Rosalee Worley; two sisters-in-law, Maude Worley and Shirley Lewis; and six brothers-in-law, Johnny Tillman, Reginald Warner, Thurston Hill, Leo Worley, Leonard Lewis and Habor Franklin.

She worked as a cook for many years for the Robichaux family and served on the usher board at St. Mark Baptist Church. She was a retired custodian at Assumption High School in Napoleonville, La.

She was buried at St. Mark Baptist Church Cemetery in Labadieville.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville is in charge of the arrangements.

Helen Lewis Worley
