Helen Naquin Olivier

Helen Naquin Olivier, 97, a native of Chacahoula, La., and a resident of Schriever, La., died Sunday, January 17, 2010 at 8:40 a.m.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice (Alvin) Pontiff; sister, Velma Robichaux; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Olivier; son, Gerald Olivier; parents, Wilfred and Olympe Levron Naquin; and brothers, Kermit, Leslie and Wilmer Naquin.

She was affectionately known as “Oldie” by all those who loved her. She was a parishioner of St. Bridget Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Schriever. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. at the church with burial at the church cemetery.
