Helen Patterson, 99, a native of Terrebonne Parish, LA. and a resident of Gibson, LA., died Saturday, January 13, 2007.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. funeral time Monday, January 22, 2007 at St. James Baptist Church in Gibson. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Noble Patterson, Sr. and wife, Louise of Las Vegas, NV.; 6 grandhchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Estelle Hanzy; her husband, Lucien Patterson; her sons, Vernon and Junius Patterson; daughter, Alcementa Patterson Johnson; granddaughter, Linda H. Patterson; brothers, Henry Hanzy and Shirley Hanzy, and her sisters, Viola Minor and Josie Alvin.
She was a retired homemaker and member of Golden Leaf Chapter of Eastern Star and St. James Baptist Church.
