Helen Schouest Saucier, 82, a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, February 21, at 9:59 a.m.
She is survived by her daughter, Denise Saucier Garofalo and husband Anthony of Houma; sister, Lorena Ciko of Slidell, La.; and grandchildren, Jennifer L. Garofalo and Brian J. Garofalo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lloyd Saucier; parents, Fred and Linda Acosta Schouest; son, Lloyd John Saucier; and brother, Dave Schouest.
She was a housewife, and a former member of the Krewe of Terreanians, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Elks Club. She was an elections commissioner and a parishioner of St. Gregory Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, February 23, at Chauvin Funeral Home with burial at St. Frances de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
