Helen M. Thibodeaux, 81, a lifelong resident of Houma, La., and had recently moved to Virginia Beach, Va., died peacefully after gracefully enduring a brief but brave and courageous battle with cancer on Friday, September 28, 2007.
She is survived by one son, Larry Reece and his wife Nell; three grandchildren, Rodney Reece, Amy Reece, and Larry Reece II; and three great-grandchildren, Casey Reece, Adam Reece, and Marita Reece.
She was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Edward Reece Jr.; her mother, Marie Smith Bowers; and her father, Cleveland Thibodeaux.
Helen’s life was filled with good friends, good times, and so many people who loved her. She enjoyed her life and touched the lives of all who knew her and was a great source of encouragement everyone. Her love of life, eternal optimism, and great sense of humor will be deeply and sadly missed. She was a loving mother and an awesome grandmother.
