Helen Virginia Carlos Whipple, 90, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Friday December 19, at 11:05 a.m.
She is survived by her sons, Barron Whipple of Houma and Randall Whipple of Bourg, La.; daughters, Carla Olsen of Houma and Ginger Hicks of Houma; brothers, Leo Carlos of Houma and Julia Carlos of Schriever, La.; sisters, Mabel Harrell of Harkan and Beulah Dollar of Atlanta, Ga.; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Herbert Carlos and Bernadette Bergeron Carlos; husband, Max Anthony Whipple; daughter, Marla Bergeron; brothers, Charles Carlos and Buddy Carlos; and granddaughter, Kami Hicks.
She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Gregory Church.
Visitation will be 8:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday December 22, at Chauvin Funeral Home with the Liturgy of the Word to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales # 2.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
