Henry Anthony “Hank” Champagne, 67, a native and resident of Theriot, La., died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014.


Mr. Champagne was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a hard worker, a jack of all trades and an outdoorsman. He loved telling stories from the past whether they were true or not so true! He loved all of his family and friends unconditionally and was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church.

He is survived by his daughters, Alisa Champagne, Rebecca and Jeanne DeHart and Michelle Burnham; brothers, Earl, Willard Sr. and Carlton Champagne; sisters, Gladys Voisin, Gloria Thibodeaux, Dorothy Dishman and Audrey Croom; former wife, Katherine Champagne; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his companion, Ann Chauvin; second wife, Joyce Champagne; parents, Dennis and Justine Champagne; grandparents, Aristile and Matilda Champagne and Evans and Felicia Callahan; son, Arthur Boudreaux Jr.; brothers, Eustis, Horace and Roy Champagne; and one grandchild.


Burial is at St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery. (Chauvin)
