Sheriff’s ranges give public a new target

Henry Andrew “Black” Bergeron, 75, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Monday, March 1, 2010.


A Marine Corps veteran, Mr. Bergeron served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Walter Erving Lanier 307 F&AM and a Mason for 44 years. He received a 25-year service certificate.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Stevens Bergeron; son, Mark (Stella) Bergeron; daughters, Cindy (David) Porche, Lisa (Clifford) Grabert, Lori (Andy) Eagan and Kim (Tommy) Boudreaux; 13 grandchildren, Tammy Reulet, Lance Bergeron, Drew Arcement, Melanie Happel, Christian Eagan, Amy Eagan, Lauren Folse, Todd Porche, Matthew Grabert, Dustin Eagan, Alexa Boudreaux, Hannah McNair and Zachary Boudreaux; 12 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Clairbel Miley and Dorothy Jennings.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Albertine Martin Bergeron; sisters, Beulah Henry, Sadie Bergeron, Eddrest Landry and Shirley Bergeron; brothers, Calvin, Eulen, George, Richard, Harry and Berkley; and grandson, Timothy Eagan.

In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to First Assembly of God, 150 Hwy 3185, Thibodaux, LA 70301.

He is buried at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
