Henry Lee Livas, Sr., 57, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, La. died Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at Terrebonne General Medical Center at 7:15 a.m.


He is survived by his wife, Brenda Nixon Livas; three daughters, Andrea Livas, Felisha Allen and her husband Darren, and Tarkisha Robinson; three sons, Henry Livas, Jr., Anthony Livas and his wife Alberta, and Prentiss Livas and his wife Shamedda; three sisters, Joyce Noble, Mable Chatman and her husband Lloyd, and Gayle Celestin and her husband Rev. Donald, Sr.; four brothers, Clarence Livas and his wife Dianna, Donald Livas, Sr. and his wife Melinda, Alvin Livas, and John Livas; and twelve grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Joshua and Rosa Livas, Sr.; two brothers, Joshua Livas, Jr. and Harvey Livas.

Henry was a devout Baptist and a member of New Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.

Visitation is Wednesday, October 10, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. until noon, with the funeral to follow at New Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church in Houma. He will be buried in First Baptist Church Cemetery in Schriever, La.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
