Henry Scavone, 80, a native of Plaquemine Parish and resident of Lockport, La. died Wednesday, December 26, 2007, at 8:30 p.m.
He is survived by his companion, Kathy Guidroz Detiveaux; and two sisters, Lena Moran and Josie Vitenas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Porche Scavone; her parents, Arturo and Leona Graffagnina Scavone; four brothers, Sam, Louis, Anthony, and Jacob Scavone; and five sisters, Rosa Lee Campesi, Saraphine Campanile, Mary Gomez, Doris Colletti, and Mamie Campesi.
Visitation is Saturday, December 29, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with the funeral to follow at Memorial United Methodist Church in Mathews, La. He will be buried in St. Mary Cemetery in Raceland, La.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Department D.A.R.E. or K-9 program.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
