Herchel Royal Lutcher, 18, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., a resident of Gibson, La., died Tuesday, Aug. 18.
He is survived by his mother, DeAnna Lutcher of Gibson; father, Stanley Briggs; step-mother, Solange Briggs of Pineville, La.; three brothers, Thaddaes and Jamon Lutcher of Gibson, and Stanley C. Briggs Jr. of Houma, La.; and two step-sisters, Marie Ange’ Bonneau and Melissa Burras.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Rosa and Clarence Lewis; and paternal grandmother, Elnora R. Etheridge.
He was Baptist and a member of Beaulah Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, at Community Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, at Beaulah Baptist Church with burial to follow at Church of Christ Cemetery in Gibson.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
