Herman Dickerson Jr.

Herman S. Dickerson Jr., 62, a native of Donaldsonville, La., and resident of Klotzville, La., died Friday, Feb. 19, 2010.

Mr. Dickerson was a retired welder.

He is survived by sons, Michael (Tessa) of Plattenville, and U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Desmond Dickerson of Rapid City, S.D.; two grandsons; mother, Mary J. Dickerson of Donaldsonville; brother, Jace D. Dickerson; sisters, Sandra Dickerson of South Orange, N.J., and Kim (Harold) McDonald of North Orange, N.J.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce D. Dickerson; and father, Herman Dickerson Sr.

He is buried at St. Augustine Catholic Church Cemetery in Klotzville.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville is in charge of arrangements.
