Herman Joseph Fonseca Sr., 71, a native and resident of Des Allemands, La., died Thursday, July 30.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Peltier Fonseca; two sons, Herman “Buddy” Fonseca Jr. and wife Danelle, and Clarence Fonseca and wife Holly; one daughter, Wanda Fonseca Drews and husband Tom; two brothers, Eddie Fonseca and Ernest “White” Fonseca Jr.; five sisters, Francis Camardelle, Linda Comardelle, Jane Fonseca, Hope Rhodes and Dale Fonseca; and eight grandchildren, Thomas Drews Jr., Trey Drews, Lori, Michelle, Blake, Matthew, Blaire and Jesse Fonseca.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Sr. and Blanche Frickey Fonseca; and two grandchildren, Baby Drews and Jude Fonseca.
He was a member of the Back to the ’50’s Jamaican Club.
Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, August 1, at St. Gertrude Catholic Church with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
