Herman Jerome Rogers, 77, a native of Franklin, La., former resident of Terrebonne and Lafourche parishes, and current resident of Irmo, S.C., died at Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010.


Mr. Rogers attended Hanson School in Franklin. He served in the U.S. Air Force and he worked as a retired salesman for Lance, Inc.

He is survived by his wife, Mavis Rogers; sons, David, Kenny and Kerry Rogers; daughters, Paula Edens, Robin Richard and Diana Gonzalez; brothers, Reynold and Junius Rogers; sisters, Elise (Clifford Broussard) Rogers and Phyllis Rogers Dumesnil; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Altia and Celestine Naquin Rogers; and four brothers, Byron, Raymond, James and Bertrand Rogers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 3227-F Sunset Blvd., West Columbia, S.C. 29169.
