Hilda Arcement Fournier

Hilda Arcement Fournier, 98, a native of Raceland, La., and resident of Metairie, La., died on Dec. 4, 2009, at 4:55 p.m.

She is survived by her daughter, Lilly (Tony) Calafell; brother, Sidney Arcement; two grandchildren, Chad (Deana) and Christine Smith; one great-grandchild, Chad Michael Smith; two great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Noven Fournier; parents, Olizie and Elda Bourgeois Arcement; brother, Lawrence J. Arcement; sisters, Inez and Dorothy Arcement, Lucille Butler, Rita Chiasson and Elma Sicard.

Mrs. Fournier was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Agnes Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Alter Society. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening.

Visitation will be held Monday, Dec. 7, from 9 to 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Nativity Catholic Cemetery. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday at 11 a.m.

She will be buried at St. Mary’s Nativity Catholic Church Cemetery.
