Hilda “Neen” Delaune, 80, born and raised on Lake Verett, and a resident of Napoleonville, La., died at 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011.
Mrs. Delaune was a homemaker and a fisherman. She always caught more fish than her husband. It was always a joke amongst themselves and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary (David) Clement, Joyce (“Shorty”) Martin and Linda (Mike) Wiggins; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Adam Sr. and Jean Gros.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Delaune; her parents, Lezime and Emma Acosta Gros; and two sisters, Agnes and Lydia Gros.
She is buried at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
