Hilda Brien Pellegrin, 89, a native of Germany and resident of Houma, La., died at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010.


Mrs. Pellegrin was a parishioner of St. Gregory. She was a constituent to the re-written constitution of Louisiana. She was a long supporter of former Gov. Edwin Edwards.


She is survived by her son, Mike Brien; daughters, Rosie (Lynwood) Guillot, Barbara Gautreaux and Norma Solar; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Irving Gautreaux; second husband, Charles Brien; third husband, Sidney Pellegrin; parents, Johann and Babette Duemm Hüber; grandsons, Dale Benoit and Rocky Solar Jr.; son-in-law, Donald P. Benoit; infant son, Rodney Irving Gautreaux; and two sisters, Anna and Kathe Hüber.

She is buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
