Howard “Blue-Moon” Cortez, 74, a native and resident of Kraemer, LA., died Friday, April 20, 2007.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Lawrence the Martyr Church in Kraemer. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Nazie Cortez; three sons, Alan Cortez, Murphy Cortez and Kelly Cortez; two daughters, Karen Bellanger and Laura Granier; two sisters, Vida Martinez and Marian Granier; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilmer and Laura Cortez; one sister, Earline Cortez; and two grandchildren, Megan Granier and Ann Bellanger.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
