Hubert “Chopper” Crosby, Sr., a native and resident, 63, a native and resident of Grand Isle, La., died Saturday, September 15, 2007 at 3:05 a.m.
He is survived by his wife, Kate Crosby; two sons, Jai Crosby and his wife Penny, Sam Crosby and his companion Reneta; one daughter, Shannon Crosby; four brothers, Clayton, Paul, Ernest, and Robert Crosby; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leopold and Evlia Barthelemy Crosby; one son, Hubert “Little Chopper” Crosby, Jr.; two brothers, Sam and Joe-Joe Crosby; one sister, Floreet Billiot.
Hubert was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Isle Catholic Church. He was a loving husband to his wife Kate for 42 years. He was a retired production foreman at G.I.S. He loved to fish, Hunt, and spoiling his grandchildren.
He was cremated.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of the arrangements.
