S. Hubert ‘Tony” Evard, 83, of Houma, LA passed away on February 1, 2018.
The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Samart Funeral Home of Houma LLC from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Religious services will take place at 3:00 pm.
He is survived by his wife; Annilore Hofmann Evard; son, Mark Evard and wife Karen; daughters, Yvonne Ledet and Viveca Dardar; brother, Terry Evard; sisters, Joan Lohse and Cynthia Utsey; grandsons, Kyle Evard, Joshua Evard, Thomas Ledet, Jr.and Jeremiah Dardar; granddaughters, Vanessa Dutton and Brittney Dardar; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, August H. Evard; mother, Jewell Inez Whited Evard; brother, Gordon H. Evard; and sisters, Nancy Romair and Alissa Hughes.
Hubert was an Army veteran and met his bride, Annilore, while stationed in Germany. They shared 58 years together.
Hubert lived his life to the fullest. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved to travel the world and had a great love for nature and animals. He was a boat captain and loved being out on the waters. He will be missed truly by all who knew him. We loved him dearly.
At the request of the family, any donations made should be sent to the American Cancer Society.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue is in charge of arrangements.
