Hubert A. Gremillion Sr., 86, a native of Hamburg, La. and resident of Napoleonville, La., died Friday, February 9, 2007.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Anne Catholic Church in Napoleonville. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.


He is survived by his wife, Annabelle Daze’ Gremillion; three sons, Hubert A. “Sonny” Gremillion Jr. and wife, Skie Boudreaux Gremillion, Christopher E. Gremillion and Gregory P. Gremillion; and three grandchildren, MeKail Hebert, Jordy Gremillion and Jake Gremillion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony B. Gremillion and Lydia G. Gremillion; five brothers, Norman, Leonard, Maxie, Bruce and Anthony Gremillion; and one sister, Mabel Gremillion Garbush.

He retired from Union Pacific after 39 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Pacific theater of World War II, a past commander of American Legion Post No. 88 in Napoleonville, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 1099, and a past Chef de Gare of 40&8, 1038 La. He was a member of the Napoleonville Volunteer Fire Department and an avid sports fan who enjoyed traveling.
