Hubert Joseph “Joe” Colwart Jr., 67, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, February 28, at 10:10 a.m.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Bonvillain Colwart of Houma; sons, Chris J. Colwart and wife Angela of Atlanta, Ga., Mark Colwart and Todd Colwart and wife Denise both of Houma; stepbrothers, Donald and Mike; stepsisters, Linda, Andrea and Ann; and grandchildren, Makenzie, Bryson, Madison and Kara Colwart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert J. Sr. and Juanita Authement Colwart; son, Craig J. Colwart; sister, Carolyn Colwart Malbrough; and stepmother, Gloria Rhodes Colwart.
He was retired inside sales for Coastal Electric for 20 years and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, March 2, and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral with burial at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
