Hubert P. Rivere, 86, a native and resident of Bruly St. Vincent, La., died at 12:38 a.m. Tuesday, Dec, 13, 2011.
He is survived by wife, Elzie Rivere; son, Randy (Pamela) Rivere; daughters, Arlyn (Terry) Rousseau and Sarah (Alvin) Dupre; three grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Antoine and Agnes Rivere; brothers, Honore, Enaux Sr., Leo, Dores, Huey and Ores Rivere; and sisters, Ida Landry, Anna Griffin, Marie Landry and Elvy and Pauline Hebert.
Visitation will be 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, and 8 to 10:15 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at Landry’s Funeral Home in Labadieville, La. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Paincourtville, La., with interment at the church cemetery. (Landry’s)
