Hursy J. Adams, 83, a native and resident of Cut Off, La., died Tuesday, March 31, at 8:25 p.m.

He is survived by his son, Billy Adams; daughters, Pat Adams Guidry and husband Dale, Jeanie Adams Armand and husband Kenneth and Joanette Adams Terrebonne and husband Peter; sister, Rita Ledet; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Eusebe and Edna C. Adams; brothers, Joseph Adams and Delvin Adams; and sister, Viola Toups.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion and VFW. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, April 6, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Falgout Funeral Home of Galliano, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
