Ida Belle Rockward Allen, 73, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, June 29.
She is survived by two daughters, Joyce A. Thomas of Arizona and Sharon A. Calloway of Minneapolis; two brothers, Henry Rockward Sr. and wife, Thelma Lee, of Houma, and the Rev. Calvin Rockward of New Orleans, La.; three sisters, Ollie Mae Jones of Round Rock, Tx., Yvonne E. Banks and husband, John, and Thelma J. Calloway of Minneapolis; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Allen; her parents, Willie Rockward and Thelma R. Rockward Moore; one brother, Willie Rockward Jr.; and one sister, Ora Mae Rockward Wallis.
She was retired from Terrebonne Parish School Board and a member of the Eastern Stars, Elks and Golden Social Aid. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at New Zion Baptist Church with a religious service to follow. She will be buried at the church cemetery.
