Irene Belanger Bourg, 93, a native of Grand Caillou, La., and resident of Montegut, La., died Sunday, January 13, 2008, at 7:30 p.m.
She is survived by two sons, Jerry Anthony Bourg and Norton J. Bourg Jr.; three daughters, Geraldine Jerliniski, Delora Simoneaux and Bessie Ledet; one brother, Luke Belanger Sr.; 25 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norton J. Bourg Sr.; her parents, Arnold Joseph Belanger and Cecile Boudreaux Belanger; one son-in-law, Darby Simoneaux; two grandchildren, Irene Ledet and Jerry Anthony Bourg Jr.; one brother, Aaron Belanger; and one sister, Aramay Belanger.
Irene was a homemaker and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was also a former member of the Ladies Altar Society.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2008, with the funeral to follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She will be buried in the church cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
