Irene Comardelle Dufrene, 87, a native of Des Allemands, La., and a resident of Gheens, La., died Tuesday, March 31, at 1:47 p.m.


She is survived by her son, Clarence “Nuch” Dufrene and wife Barbara; daughter, Yvonne Guidroz and husband Melvin; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Dufrene; parents, Felician and Cecile A. Comardelle; brothers, Wilton, Lawrence, Norris, Milton and Gilbert Comardelle; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.


She was a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Gheens where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help with funeral expenses.

The funeral was Friday, April 3, at St. Anthony Catholic Church with burial at Resurrection Memorial Park in Mathews, La.

Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
