Irene D. Molaison, 89, a native of Mathews, La., and a resident of Raceland, La., died Saturday, March 29, at 10:15 a.m.
She is survived by her daughters, Norma M. Martin and husband Ralph Martin and Judy M. Cheramie and husband Richard Cheramie; brothers, Carlton Detillier, Clifton Detillier and Firmen Detillier Jr.; sister, Gloria “Mim” LeCompte; grandchildren, Debra Davis, Kathy Authement, Michael Martin, Tammy Matherne and Ralph Martin Jr.; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah “Black” Molaison; parents, Firmen Detillier and Josephine Detillier; brothers, Mabry Detillier, Moise Detillier Sr. and Webster Detillier; sisters, Elizabeth “Bell” Landry, Elfay St. Pierre, Allie Knight, Matilda Detillier and Eloise Detillier; and grandson, Keith Martin.
She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s.
Visitation is 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Monday, March 31, at Falgout Funeral Home. The mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s. She will be buried at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
