Irma Picou

Irma Jane Porche Picou, 81, a resident of Houma, died Monday, Dec. 7, 2009.

She is survived by 11 children, Lisette Brunet, Deborah Picou, Larke Fabre, Etienne Picou, Nicole Lovitt, Monique Rozands, Jelpi Picou Jr., Emilie Pitre, James Picou, Charles Picou and Adrienne Picou; 10 grandchildren, Matthew Fabre, Max Fabre, Andrew Lovitt, Mallory Heyward, Jonathan Brunet, Michael Brunet, Taylor Fabre, Ricky Rozands Jr., Samuel Pitre and Luc Picou; three great-grandchildren, Abigail Fabre, Eleanor Fabre and Wyatt Heyward.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jelpi Pierre Picou; and her parents, Armand and Isare Cenac Porche.

Mrs. Picou’s body has been donated to the LSU School of Medicine, as per her request.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Terrebonne Council on Aging.
