Irvin J. “Black” Landry Sr., 71, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Monday, April 27.

He is survived by his wife, Lucy Benoit Landry; children, Geraldine L. “Geri” Pellegrin and husband Theodore “Ted”, Arleen L. Aizen and husband Rickey, Jean T. Landry and Mickey Padgett, Irvin J. Landry Jr. “Bro” and wife Monica, Danny P. Landry and wife Angela, and Brenda L. Naquin and husband Steven “Steve”; sister, Cecelia Morvant; 10 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Amelus Landry and Gertie Hebert Landry Thibodaux; and great-grandson, Landon Naquin.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, at Thibodaux Funeral Home and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux. The funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church with burial at the church cemetery.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
