Jack E. Thompson, 82, a native of Hattiesburg, Miss., and a resident of Schriever, La., died Saturday, July 25, at 9:13 a.m.
He is survived by one son, Steven Thompson; two daughters, Rhonda Wallace and Tracy Thompson; two sisters, Winnelle Douglas and Rachel Karably; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Courtney, Eddie, Chad and Chelsea Childress, Warren and Devin Thompson, and Lauren and Steven Thompson Jr.; four great-grandchildren, Noah Hernandez, Jazlynn Childress, Cloe and Braylon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Thompson and Mattie Usrey Thompson; three brothers, J.R., Roscoe and Paul Thompson; and two sisters, Geneva and Helen.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made payable to Samart Funeral Home in Houma, La.
No services are scheduled.
Samart Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
