Jacqueline Lyons

Jacqueline Marie Burton Lyons, 46, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, La. died Saturday, October 13, 2007.

She is survived by her husband, Freddie Lyons, Jr.; her father, Herbert Guidry; one son, Randy Burton; three step-sons, Aaron, Ejerrold, and Everette Lyons; six step-daughters, Tanja Scoby, Topeka Hite, Kenya, Charleta, Amy, and Gwendolyn Lyons; three brothers, Steven Humphrey, Fredrick, and Gerald Williams; 13 sisters, Sharon Johnson, Eteria Burton, Rose Wright, Mary Harrell, Ophelia Gaines and her husband John, Valerie Roberta, Shirley Williams, Gloria Dennis and her husband Joseph, Terry Warren and her husband Sylvester, Debbie George and her husband Noel, Pamela Lewis and her husband Elliot, and Sherl Turner and her husband Michael; and 26 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Millie Celestine; two brothers, Donald Ray Williams and Brian Thibodeaux; tow sisters, Linda Steward and Samaria Burton; her maternal grandparents, George and Rosalie Williams; and her paternal grandparents, Clarance Guidry and Ophelia Matthews.

Jacqueline was a devout Baptist. She was a secretary for Regency Finance Company.

Visitation is Saturday, October 20, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at New Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church. She will be buried in Union Benevolent Cemetery.
