September 20, 2011Jalen Akeem Johnson, 18, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Monday, Sept. 12, 2011.
Mr. Johnson was Baptist.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Johnson; stepfather, Ron Van Buren; brothers, Donte, Ronjia and Ronquel Johnson and Rontae Van Buren; sisters, Moesha and Aaliyah Johnson; and grandparents, Trisha Duncan, Joseph Isaac and Theodore Pratt.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kelly Davis.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, at Allen A.M.E Chapel in Thibodaux with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Kennedy)
