Business Boot Camp set for Saturday

James “Jellie” Clayton Brown Sr., 87, a native of Baton Rouge, La., and a resident of Schriever, La., died Friday, February 8, 2008, at 10:50 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Bergeron Brown of Schriever; sons, Chuck Brown and wife Connie of Plaquemine, La., Ricky Brown and wife Lynn of Denham Springs, La., and James Brown Jr. and wife Cathy of Schriever; daughters, Deborah Hebert and husband Tommy, Corliss Smith and husband Sandy of Baton Rouge, Mandy Votaw of Gibson, La., Roxanne Votaw of Houma and Michelle Votaw of Thibodaux, La.; sister, Marion Guy of Lake Charles, La.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Brown and Mary Victoria Clouatre; brother, Buddy Brown; and sisters, BeBe Beveridge and Audry Roth.
James was a retired deputy from the Terrebonne Sheriff’s Office, where he worked for more than 20 years, and a former car salesman at Trapp/Barker Chevrolet. He was a member of the American Legion and a parishioner of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday, February 11, 2008 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Chacahoula, La. followed by mass. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
