James Etta Butler, 83, a resident and native of Patterson, La., died at 5:35 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28, 2011.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Etta Butler Johnson; sisters, Annie Augustine and Lizzie Cooper; nine grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
She is buried at Shield Society Cemetery in Patterson.
