Lafourche deputy tapped to lead homeland security

James P. Fayette, 56, a native of Boutte, La., and resident of Lockport, La., died on Friday, June 3, 2016.
Mr. Fayette is survived by his brothers, Johnny Jr., Tex, Joey and Hector Fayette; sister, Faye Perry; and a host of other relatives.
Burial is at Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport.
