James Frederick (J. Fred) Rivet, 63, a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, November 12, at 9:43 a.m.
He is survived by his brother, Eddie and wife Tina Rivet; and sisters, Connie and husband Jerry Sullivan, Pattie and husband Brooksy Bourg, and Judy Rivet Boudreaux.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Edward Rivet and Mrs. Dorothy McMahon Rivet.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and was a retired state trooper from Troop C. He was a parishioner of Annunziata Church.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, November 15, at Annunziata Church with the funeral service to follow.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
