James “Sonny” Dillon, 72, a native of Laurel, Ms., and a resident of Chauvin, La., died Saturday, February 28.

He is survived by his companion of 27 years, Lucy Pitre Bourg; stepdaughters, Lana B. Danos, Dana B. Guin and Tana B. Unbehagen; sisters, Lavonne D. Kelley and Dot Overstreet; numerous step-grandchildren; and step-great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Alva Dillon and Anna Bell Barnes Dillon; and sisters, Doris Warren and Betty Faye Holifield.

Services will be held at a later date in Laurel.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
