Janavee LeBoeuf Pitre, 77, a native and lifelong resident of Galliano, La., died at 6:35 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010.


Mrs. Pitre was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed fishing, sewing and gardening.


She is survived by her husband, Louis Pitre; parents, Caliste and Artemise Eymard LeBoeuf; and brother, Leroy “Jack” LeBoeuf.

Visitation will be held 7 to 10 p.m., Tuesday, March 2, and 8 to 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 3, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano.

She will be buried at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Galliano.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
