Janet Hollinshead

Janet Lemoine Hollinshead, a native of Avoyelles Parish and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, May 27, 2010 at the Bailey House in Bunkie.

Mrs. Hollinshead loved flowers, reading and sewing. She enjoyed making aprons, which she donated to hospitals and social organizations.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Harvie) Hamilton; sons, John (Leah) and George (Hope) Hollinshead; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; and several other relatives.

She is buried at Bayou Rouge Cemetery in Evergreen.
