Jeanne Marie Picou, 93, a native and resident of Morgan City, La., died Friday, Dec. 23, 2011.
Mrs. Picou was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a member of Catholic Daughters of America. She loved hunting, fishing, cooking and outdoor activities. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters, Catherine Bourdier, Dianne (Sid) Richardson and Nell (Lee) Lamury; son, David (Rose) Picou; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Picou Sr.; son, George Picou Jr.; parents, Taylor and Marie Kiff; brothers, Edville Plessala Jr. and Hughes Kiff; and sisters, Lumina Thevenot, Luella Rody and Wilma Alpha.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City with mass to follow. Burial will be at Morgan City Cemetery. (Twin City)
