Jerry David Jackson Sr., 68, a native of Morgan City, La., and resident of Amelia, La., died Tuesday, May 8, 2012.
Mr. Jackson was a member of Healing Stream Ministries where he served as Deacon for many years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and the best boat captain the oil field has ever seen. He was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Viola Jackson; daughter, Robin Jackson; son, Jerry Jr. (Michelle) Jackson; sister, Donnie Felton; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Alice Jackson; and sister, Reverend Mary Carter.
Burial was at Morgan City Cemetery. (Hargrave)
